AYMÉE NUVIOLA – ‘Bonche’ Feat. Kemuel Roig

Singer, musician, composer, and actress Aymée Nuviola, the ‘Sonera del Mundo’ (Queen of Son), embodies the magical blend of musical genres from her native Cuba. Throughout her successful career, she has received numerous awards and accolades, particularly in the fields of Latin music and jazz. Her first Grammy, in 2018, cemented her status as one of the most important artists within the Cuban and Latin music genres.

In 2022, Aymée reached another significant milestone by winning the Grammy Award for Best Latin Music Album for her work “Vivir lo Nuestro,” an award that underscores her ongoing artistic development. Her interpretation of Afro-Cuban music has earned her numerous international accolades, solidifying her reputation as an ambassador of her homeland’s traditional sound.

In 2021, she was included in People magazine’s list of the 25 most influential Latina women in the United States.

During her visit to the 34th Canarias Jazz & Más International Festival, Aymée Nuviola is joined by two of the most talented musicians of the new generation: Kemuel Roig on piano, who has played with Arturo Sandoval and Al Di Meola, and Eduardo Ramos on percussion, another renowned artist and expert on the most ancestral sounds of Cuban music. Equally important, the rest of the band members, hailing from Venezuela, Colombia, and the Caribbean, further enrich this fusion that Aymée has conceived for her musical project.
